Having set the standard in wedding photography, CJ Studios has become a household name over the past ten years. With work that has earned accolades far and wide and a team of talented pros who know how to get just the right shot and how to capture those priceless moments. CJ Studios has worked hard to build its reputation and our hundreds of clients are our best advertisement. 

And yet, still, that wasn’t enough for us. 

We have seen over the years that there were still so many more people out there whose needs weren’t being met. They were the families who wanted amazing pictures at budget-friendly prices, be it for weddings or for smaller jobs, like vorts and bar mitzvahs. Our premium product, understandably, came with a not-insignificant price tag, a reality that may have locked out certain clients so we set out to recreate the wheel for them, launching Moments in Focus by CJ to give them high-quality photos at prices that would leave them smiling. 

For some, it might have seemed like an impossible dream, but having spent years in this business, it was a concept that we knew we could put into play. We paired up our fresh and energetic newer talent, a crop of photographers bursting with creativity, with our expert veterans, assembling teams of pros who could do the job right while still keeping the costs in check.  Using photographers who are still on their way up and yet are already very gifted and providing them with expert training from our experienced masters gave us the ability to keep our prices down while still ensuring that every Moments in Focus client is a happy, satisfied client, our favorite kind of client.

Behind the camera

For over 10 years, Yosef Shidler, a resident of Toms River, New Jersey, has been the driving force and the inspiration at the world-renowned CJ Studios.  A gifted videographer, Shidler’s talent is unmatched, his cinematography skills earning him praise as “the Spielberg of the Jewish wedding scene.”

Having documented nearly 1,000 weddings in over 23 states, Shidler appreciates each one for the milestone event that it is, bringing his A-game to every simcha to create priceless footage that will be treasured for years. Having spent years working alongside some of the best photographers in the industry, Shidler has recently entered the world of still photography as well, using his considerable video skills and his unique vision to create pictures that are truly beautiful, preserving moments in time for years to come.
